Spring 2010 Season Face-off Meeting!

Sunday, Jan. 10th at 2pm - Location is Murphy City Hall - Counsel Chambers

 

PELA Parents & Players,

 

Attached you will find the Spring 2010 Plano East Lacrosse Handbook. Please read & discuss its content—in its entirety with your son. Note the new Code of Conduct & Sportsmanship Form as well as the Drug & Alcohol Policy.

 

Documents in HANDBOOK that need to be signed & turned in on Registration Day:

 

1. ___ 2010 Player Registration Form (only for new players OR if any info has changed)

2. ___ 2010 Proof of Insurance / Waiver & Release of Liability Form

3. ___ 2010 Photograph / INFO Release Form

4. ___ 2010 Code of Conduct and Sportsmanship Form

 

Also REQUIRED to complete registration:

 

5. ___ Medical History and Physical Form

            *(if not on file already/this form available on website)

6. ___ US Lacrosse Membership (number and updated expiration date)

7. ___ Spring Fee $500 to Chuck Pearl

8. ___ Spring Jersey/Uniform deposit $50 to Dawn Janowski (separate check from above fee)

             (uniform check deposit will be returned upon check-in of uniform at end of Season)

 

Once the above items have been turned in (at the Registration Meeting)—then player may proceed to the PELA uniform distribution table and see Michele Allen and Tricia Keller to receive your Spring Uniforms with assigned Player Jersey # (1 EAST black jersey; 1 EAST white jersey; 1 EAST white short).

 

 

Important Notes:

 

The new lacrosse stick guidelines went into effect on January 1st 2010. Therefore, Coach Darcy Richter is requiring all players to have their new lacrosse head by January 23rd at the latest. Allowing practice time with the ‘new’ size will be very important. No PELA player will be able to participate in the first game/tournament against Southlake—Jan. 30th without the new lacrosse head restrictions being met. Referees will be checking the players lacrosse sticks at the games for legality. (Contact Coach Johnny Skinner for any questions regarding stick head requirements.)

 

“Plano EAST cluster” requirements to play—Collin Cook is the only PELA player that the PELA Board & Coaches acknowledge has having an official waiver to play for Plano EAST Lacrosse that is not currently attending a Plano East cluster school. Contact Chuck Schrodel ASAP chuck.schrodel@eds.com if you have any questions regarding waiver requirements—THSLL waiver deadline is just days away.
